EXPERIENCE THE UNIQUENESS OF HUNTING IN WEST WALES, WITH
“THE BLOODHOUNDS”

West Wales Farmers Bloodhounds

What do we do?

We use an organised quarry, (a person laying a scent) with which to HUNT, which is enjoyed by horse riders, foot followers and hunting enthusiasts.

We  endeavor to keep the tradition of hunting a pack of hounds, within the law, however challenging it maybe, and not forgetting our roots, nor our forefathers, who developed hunting  into the forms we know and understand.

West Wales Near WindmillsThe importance to us, is about keeping the bloodlines and gene pools available for the next generation to use, in it’s purity or to improve other bloodlines, in whatever form Hunting will take in the future.

Aligned to this, are social commitments, to creating a new riding scene and social calendar which is accessible  to everyone without prejudice or politics.

Our aim in 2012 will be to continue our work of the last three seasons, educating young hunting enthusiasts, hunt followers, and people, who in the past, found hunting morally unacceptable and those who believe the kill, is the product of good hunting.

From day to day, we feel our work is important,  but during our last three seasons, we were humbled by meeting a number of local charities and good causes , who work tirelessly to improve the lives of others. This has spurred us on to raise more money next year. Of particular note was the recognition by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, of the Hunt’s contribution to The Prince’s Countryside Fund.

We donate from all caps and donations received and we are proud to let you know that in our first three seasons we have donated just over £3200.
